Mark is a recent graduate of Bergen Community College in Northwestern New Jersey. He graduated with honors, achieving an Associate Degree in Applied Science: Graphic Design, while simultaneously working full time for a global corporate brand.
The curriculum focused on the tools used to create digital work: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and was a progressive journey of design from courses ranging from layout to portfolio presentation (and everything relevant, in between). Included within the coursework were studies in fine art, color theory and art history, as well.
While Mark is proud to have achieved this personal goal for education (not having done so at the typical “college age”) he has always had his hand in numerous creative interests…
Special effects make-up creation and application (sculpting, applying & painting facial prosthetics)
Community theater (on stage and back-stage work/design)
Custom greeting card creation
Digital Photography
Mark wants to utilize his education in Graphic design to create unique greeting card designs. He will incorporate his own photography (floral and regional shots) - some with light Photoshop filters applied (to create depth) and other images, trimmed and turned into die-cut images to "pop" on these hand-crafted greetings. Mark believes that, in an age of high-speed communication - instant messages, emails and text messaging, there is still nothing like a home-made, custom greeting card to warm the heart.
When he’s not working in Corporate America or creating art, Mark is usually socializing with family and friends, reading a book, out taking digital photos, visiting museums and parks within tri-state area or simply spoiling his dog!
